The United States Fish and Wildlife Service is proposing the creation of a new Fish & Wildlife Refuge in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. The Refuge would occupy up to 50,000 acres of land in the Fox River and Kishwaukee River watershed. Learn more
The Village of Gilberts has sent a request to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency seeking approval to modify their Wastewater Treatment Facility Plan and to increase the treatment capacity of their wastewater treatment plant. If granted the approval would lead to a significant increase in wastewater discharges to Tyler Creek and the Fox River. Learn more
