From the Faucet to the Watershed  Friday, June 19, 2009 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Woods Creek bike path located between Bunker Hill Drive and Woodscreek Lane.

Visit us at Algonquin's Conservation Community Day, this year's theme is "From the Faucet to the Watershed"  Join us to learn about how you can conserve resources and preserve our natural environment.  The event is free and fun for the entire family.

  

Fox Rescue - Volunteers Needed!  

We invite you, your friends and family to pitch in at the Fox River Cleanups. We have various cleanup locations and dates available to suit all ages. Persons with hip waders, canoes, kayaks are extremely welcomed. click here for more details.


 

2009 Water Willow Plantings
PLEASE NOTE DUE TO HIGH WATERS THE NEW DATE IS JULY 11, 2009 @ 8:00am

We invite you, your friends and family to help us plant more sections of the river with water willow plants. We will meet in the park roughly 200 yards downstream of the Montgomery (IL) Dam on the west (River Street) side of the river. - Montgomery, IL. Volunteers should bring waterproof boots and sturdy work gloves; We will provide the necessary tools.

Northern IL Hunting and Fishing Days

This FREE family-fun event serves to unite young and old alike in the education and sharing with other like-minded individuals, the knowledge, safety skills, and experiences gained through the Outdoors.

3:00pm - Fishing the Fox River Sponsored by Friends of the Fox River Speaker will be Tom Schrader (Sunday Only) in the HAWG TANK II (LOCATED IN FRONT OF FOOD COURT)

 



We Need Everyone's Help to protect the Fox River and its tributaries, we invite you to join us! We host various events from River Cleanups, Monitoring, Restoration Plantings, Workshops all throughout the Fox River Watershed and available to suit all ages.

WAYS TO SUPPORT FOFR

Friends of the Fox River cannot achieve its mission without the participation of concerned citizens like you. Your membership will help to maintain our existing programs and assist us in expanding our work in the watershed.

Whether you choose to become a volunteer monitor, participate in a Fox Rescue cleanup, attend Friends of the Fox River events, or simply to be counted as a member, you are helping to protect the Fox River and its tributaries.

In return, we will provide you with educational events, newsletters, volunteer opportunities, and reports of our activities on behalf of the Fox River.

Together we can create the culture of stewardship needed to protect the Fox River now and for future generations.
